BCG online assessments: practise Casey and the CCA free
BCG can send you two online tests before your interviews: the Casey chatbot case and the CCA. Practise both here, free, with the same timing.
BCG CCA Simulator
- Four numerical tasks on one 12:00 clock
- Four unscored work-style questions
- The full diagnostic runs without an account
BCG Casey Simulator
- A chatbot case you cannot go back through, asked one question at a time
- Exhibits to read, arithmetic to run, and a recommendation to commit to
- First two questions free, no signup
Which one did you get?
You got Casey
A chatbot-guided business case covering structuring, exhibits, math and a recommendation.
Open the Casey simulatorYou got the CCA
A short, multidimensional screen whose exact provider and sections vary by cohort.
Open the CCA simulatorCasey and the CCA, side by side
| Dimension | Casey | CCA |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A business case delivered by chatbot | An independent Protocol Career CCA-style diagnostic |
| Question style | A single case carried end to end — structure, then exhibits, then arithmetic, then the call | Four numerical tasks and four unscored work-style items |
| Navigation | Forward-only. You cannot revise earlier answers | A single 12-minute clock across the whole thing |
| What it screens | Reasoning through a case, and judgment on the numbers | Numerical accuracy under time, plus consistency of work preferences |
Some candidates receive both screens, and the sequence varies by office and cohort. Your BCG invitation is the authority.

Questions
- What does BCG run before the interviews?
- A screen BCG runs before live interviews. In practice it means one of two things: the Casey chatbot case, or the Consulting Career Assessment. Some candidates receive both.
- Are Casey and the CCA the same thing?
- Not always. Casey is the chatbot case. The CCA is a separate numerical and work-style screen. Your invitation names the one you have been given.
- Is there a free way to rehearse it?
- Yes. The CCA diagnostic is free in full. The Casey case opens with two questions before any account is needed.
- What preparation actually moves the result?
- Run the format named in your invitation under its real clock, then read the worked reasoning. Speed on the arithmetic matters more than most candidates expect.
Start with two free questions. Pick the format named in your BCG invitation: Casey or the CCA.
