Protocol Career

About Protocol Career

Protocol Career is a case interview preparation platform that documents how consulting firms actually hire and scores your practice answers, for MBA candidates, undergraduates and experienced hires moving into consulting.

Across 417 published guides, every factual claim about a firm's hiring process is tied to a page that firm published, quoted in its own words, with the date we read it. That is 2,922 sources on the record, visible at the bottom of each guide. Where a firm publishes nothing, the guide says so rather than filling the gap.

How that is measured: the figure counts the source entries declared in the front matter of every file in our content directory, each carrying a URL, the date it was last read, and the specific claim it supports. It is recounted at every build rather than written by hand.

What Protocol Career does

You tell us which firm you are interviewing with. We give you what that firm publishes about its own process, read at the source and dated, plus the cases and drills to rehearse it.

You practise a full case or a single skill, out loud or in writing. Every attempt comes back scored dimension by dimension, so you learn that your synthesis is the weak point rather than that the answer was imperfect. The same answer always returns the same score, and the rubric weights are published rather than hidden.

What makes Protocol Career different

  • 2,922 sources across 417 guides, each with the date it was read. Open any guide and the register is at the bottom.
  • 29 automated editorial checks run before anything publishes, including one that recomputes the arithmetic in every worked case.
  • 64 firm guides across 18 topics, and we publish the absences too: we read 371 official pages and found no firm that runs a case over the phone, so the guide says that instead of guessing.
  • Corrections are dated on the page, not edited away. When we got something wrong, the entry stays and says what changed and when.
  • Everything readable without an account. Every guide, every calculator and every drill opens directly. What a plan buys is saved progress and scoring, not access to the material.

Counts recomputed at every build from the published content. See current pricing for what each plan includes.

Who uses Protocol Career

  • MBA candidates recruiting in a single compressed season, who need to know which firms visit their school and when each window closes.
  • Undergraduates and recent graduates facing an online assessment before they ever meet an interviewer, and needing to know what that specific test measures.
  • Doctoral and advanced-degree candidates, for whom eligibility differs by programme: one firm files seven degree paths under one label and admits three of them to its workshop.
  • Experienced hires and career changers who need to know what the case actually asks of them, and that no firm we have read publishes a different case for them.
  • Candidates interviewing in a second language, where the published rules vary by office and only some firms state a required level at all.

The team behind Protocol Career

Protocol Career is published by PAP CONSULTING FZ LLE, a free zone company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates. It is the party you contract with, and the party responsible for everything published here.

Elias Marchand is strategy editor. Edits the firm and case guides on this site. Reads each claim about a recruiting process back to the firm's own page before it is published, keeps the source ledger dated, and owns the corrections.

The guides are reviewed against the scoring rubrics the product uses, and against the firms' own pages. We hold no certification and display none. What can be checked instead is the scoring itself, which is deterministic and published in full, and the source register under every guide.

If something here is wrong, out of date, or unfair to a company we have written about, tell us and we will correct it and date the change.

Read our consulting recruiting statistics and original research, including what each firm publishes about its own process, the counts behind our guides, and how each figure was measured.

57 cases are indexed in the library, 417 guides are published across 18 topics, and the firm coverage is listed on the firm index.
