What we have done, what we know falls short, and how to tell us when something stops you. We would rather name the gaps than claim a conformance level nobody has audited.

What we aim for

We take the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA as the target for this site. We have not had an independent audit, so we do not claim conformance with them. Treat this as a statement of intent and of current known state, not as a certificate.

What is in place

Built in from the start rather than retrofitted:

  • Semantic structure: real headings in order, lists that are lists, and landmarks, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
  • Keyboard operation: every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, and focus is visible where it lands.
  • Both colour themes are defined deliberately, and the site follows your system setting rather than forcing one.
  • Text reflows and remains readable when zoomed or on a narrow screen, and wide content scrolls inside its own container instead of forcing the page sideways.
  • Animation respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

What we know falls short

Named because a statement that lists no gaps is not a statement:

  • Charts and exhibits inside cases carry a caption but not always a full text alternative for the data they show.
  • Some header images are generated with the page title engraved in them, and the alternative text repeats the title rather than describing the image.
  • Timed drills impose a clock. Where a time limit is part of what is being rehearsed we keep it, and we have not yet built a way to extend or remove it for those who need longer.
  • Automated feedback is written as prose and has not been tested end to end with a screen reader.

Tell us when something blocks you

Write to us through the contact form with the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you use. We treat a report that something is unusable as a bug, not as a suggestion, and we will tell you what we are doing about it.

If you need material in another form

If a page or a case is unusable for you as published, ask and we will provide the content in another form at no charge. That stands whether or not we have fixed the underlying problem yet.

Questions about this page go to our contact form, which reaches PAP CONSULTING FZ LLE directly.
